We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Buyer to help source, develop and introduce top-selling products that meet the needs of our customers. We are a family run, home interiors trade wholesaler who has made it our mission to provide our customers with inspiring interiors at fantastic prices.
As we seek to grow the company over the coming years, we believe an additional buyer will be at the heart of this growth. Working with our Buying Director you will help source new merchandise and new vendors as well as review existing products to remain competitive, negotiating prices, quantities and delivery time-scales whilst providing commercially viable ranges to maximise profits.
You will be provided with all you need to be a success in this role, working full time, 36.5 hours over 5 days, including international travel.
Primary Job Functions
- Trend Analysis & Product Development
- Forecast trends for home, outdoor, and garden products.
- Carry out trend and market research, attending fairs and inspiration trips.
- Develop new products to be introduced into home product lines
- Build and develop product ranges.
- Develop new product and display ideas to increase customer awareness and interest.
- Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Source vendors for appropriate items and work closely with the Buying Director to ensure timely purchases.
- Liaise with and visit factories in the Far East and Europe.
- Negotiate cost prices and delivery terms with manufacturers overseas.
- Work to recognise opportunities for growth with current suppliers.
- Inventory & Sales Planning
- Analyse past sales figures and trends to anticipate future product needs.
- Minimize old stock and consistently source new products.
- Arrange new samples for delivery during season selections.
- Collaboration & Promotions
- Coordinate with marketing for promotional activities.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing and suppliers) to ensure smooth product launches and promotions.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic sales team member to join us in delivering our fantastic product range to our trade customers; not only great prices but with first class service. We are a family run, home interiors wholesaler who has made it our mission to source the latest trends and home interior styles from around the world .
We have a vacancy for a someone local to our Head Office in North Yorkshire, who has experience building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with customers. You will be self motivated and love engaging with customers, picking up the phone and helping them find their next best seller and you won't be short of options... with a live range of over 2000 incredible unique handcrafted pieces from which to truly 'Inspire' customers and generate sales.
Primary Job Functions
- Identify appropriate sales opportunities, understanding customers needs and tailoring product recommendations accordingly
- Deliver sales by making effective sales calls
- Deliver sales by engaging with customers at our showroom or show exhibitions
- Maintain working relationships with customers to ensure exceptional end to end service
- Possess in depth demonstrable product knowledge and brand USP's required to provide solutions to customers requirements
- Achieve sales goals working collaboratively within a sales team, being aware of knowledge sharing of current trading environment, sales/customer trends and competitor activity.
