About Us

Thank you for your interest in Hill Interiors. We are a family based business based just off the A1 motorway, near Bedale, the gateway to the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. Hill Interiors are importers and distributors of Occasional Furniture, Interior Accessories, Lighting, Gifts for the Home and Garden and also Replica Militaria.
We buy from over 100 factories around the world, but mostly in the Far East. On average two to three 40 ft containers a day of stock arrive in our warehouse. Our 4,500 trade customers include Interior shops, Garden Centres, Online Traders, Furniture Shops, Castles and Hardware stores.
Our growing success is down several different factors, our great team, the outstanding relationships we have with both suppliers and customers and that we are constantly up to date with current trends and styles.
We offer (subject to approval) 30 day account payment, carry a large amount of stock, update and improve our range regularly, and most importantly offer a free standard delivery service on orders over £500 + Vat. Large amount of our customers utilise our fast efficient delivery service and place orders for £400 every day to replace only the items they have sold that day, which is a huge advantage for a retailer’s cash flow and storage.

Back in 1975 Graham and Joan Hill opened up their first retail unit in the local Market town of Thirsk selling Antiques and Reproduction items sourced locally and from dealers in the West Midlands. Graham then discovered a gap in the market for popular Brass and Copper products, which were made at a reasonable price in India and opened a Wholesale warehouse on Thirsk Industrial Estate and the wholesale business was then formed. He then hit upon an up coming trend from India and the importation of historical swords, helmets and armour began. Graham then also became involved with the Denix factory in Menorca and negotiated exclusive rights to sell the Denix brand Replica Pistols and Rifles in the UK. Graham & Joan’s son Nik joined the business in the early 1990’s working alongside his father. Growing and moving the business he decided to venture into importation from China, he developed a couple of resin ornament ranges that proved very popular, including our dangly legged fruit and vegetable figures and Scottish Soldiers that both became some of our most collectable items.

The growing business meant larger premises were required and so our move to our current location at Oaktree came about. At the time the warehouse was very small, but the potential was enormous. Every few years we have added to the size of the warehouse, with now standing at over 200,000 square feet.
Our staff has grown to accommodate our expansion and we have dedicated teams to deal with all aspects of our business. We strive to ensure that customer care is first class and the fastest response times possible are achieved.
